Four out of five ain't bad!

Image shows woman creating diagram flow chart on clear marker boardBuilding website traffic and leads requires a plan, knowledge of how search engines work, the expertise to construct web pages, and maximum rankings.

And of course, financing.

Digital Business Services meets the first four requirements. The fifth, financing is up to you.

What is Search Engine Optimization?

•Take the words and phrases most often used to find a product or service like your's.

•Determine which are searched most often and on what search engine.

•Strategically place them on your web page and in your web page code.

•Set up a landing page so you can tell if visitors are reading your text and taking the action you want (for example, fill out a form, download a free article, register for a prize, etc.)

•Find other sites, forums and directories that will link to your site (backlinks).

•Put links in your pages so search engines find them all (internal links).

•Register the site with the major search engines--Google, Yahoo and MSN.

•Install tracking code so site traffic can be monitored.

•Install robots.txt and sitemap.xml files to help the search engines. If you don't know what these are, we'll explain when we meet.

•Update the site with fresh content regularly.

•Keep your eye on rankings to watch what works and what doesn't.

•Amend, change, repair, revise frequently. Like a day trader watching the stocks.

What does this service cost?

A "one time" boost can be a minimal investment and pump up your rankings for a short period of time. A large majority of website owners take this approach.

Monthly website and search engine optimization contracts start at $200 a month, with a six month commitment.

Why six months? Because the internet is a volatile "organic" environment where predictability does not exist. Again, just like the stock market.
